Hi, I'm Allyson! I'm a Santa Cruz native, wife, and mom to three incredible daughters, and I truly believe there's nothing more special than bringing people together to celebrate life's biggest moments.
My love for event planning started while I was attending Sonoma State University as a member of Gamma Phi Beta. I quickly became the person who loved organizing our social events, and somewhere along the way I realized I'd found exactly what I was meant to do.
After college, I moved back home to Santa Cruz and turned that passion into a career. I spent six years as the Events Manager at Shadowbrook Restaurant, where I had the privilege of planning more than 80 weddings and over 300 private events every year. From there, I continued growing my experience as the Director of Sales, Catering & Events at The Club at Pasadera, worked with Monterey Peninsula Country Club during the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and helped design and coordinate beautiful weddings with Eventscapes.
Over the years, I've learned that no two weddings are ever the same—and that's my favorite part. Every couple has their own story, priorities, and vision, and I love helping bring it all to life in a way that feels authentic to them.
Starting California Kind Weddings was a dream of mine because I wanted to create an experience that feels personal from the very beginning. My goal is to take the stress off your shoulders so you can be fully present with the people you love. Whether it's managing every detail behind the scenes, solving problems before you ever know they exist, or making sure your grandmother has a tissue before the ceremony starts, I'm always thinking a few steps ahead.
When I'm not coordinating weddings, you'll usually find me at one of my girls' activities, enjoying the Santa Cruz coastline with my family, or planning my next adventure. I genuinely love what I do, and it would be an honor to be part of one of the most important days of your life.

Wedding coordinators are professionals who have experience and industry relationships that will allow the brides wedding vision come to life.
A venue coordinator oversees the on site staff, to make sure they are fulfilling their contractual obligations, serving food on time, etc. A lot of times the venue coordinator is not there for the duration of the event &/or they have other events they are overseeing on property during the same time. A wedding coordinator works only for you to make every aspect run smoothly, greet all your vendors, send out a timeline prior, make sure you are having a great time celebrating and to ensure that your vision has become a reality.
As soon as you get engaged is recommended. Dates are booked well in advance and the sooner we begin planning, the better! If you are interested in the Signature Package, we recommend booking as soon as you have secured your date & venue.
